Inside Obria Iowa: A New York Times Look at Our Clinic
Posted on December 22, 2025 at 11:08 AM by Obria Clinic
This week, the New York Times published an article that includes Obria Iowa and our clinic in Ames. The story followed a visit from reporter Caroline Kitchener, who spent time in our clinic observing our care, meeting our staff, and learning about the services we provide.
Obria exists to offer affordable, comprehensive reproductive healthcare with compassion, dignity, and respect for every client, regardless of their circumstances or past experiences. That mission has not changed. Every day, our fully licensed medical providers walk alongside individuals with no judgment, no pressure, and no coercion.
Over the years, our medical services have grown to better meet the diverse needs of those we serve. We offer STD testing and treatment, well-woman exams including Pap smears and cancer screenings, as well as pregnancy testing and ultrasounds, all provided by fully licensed medical professionals in our accredited, HIPAA-compliant clinic.
While no single article can fully capture the heart of Obria, we remain confident in the care we provide and the calling we follow. Our hope is that this story, like every step taken inside our clinic, points to the love, hope, and compassion found in Christ.
If you have questions or would like to learn more about our services, we invite you to experience the Obria style of healthcare for yourself.
